When a single-vehicle crash claims the life of a longtime local, the town thinks it’s a tragic accident on an icy road. Willie Wilder, amateur sleuth, isn't convinced after her Sunday Supper Society group recognizes the victim’s name from an old missing baby case the town never solved.

Willie has the help of her late uncle’s notes, her determined friend group, the Queenagers, and Axel, her telepathic poodle, when she starts pulling at threads no one has unraveled in twenty-seven years. 

She soon discovers an outraged husband with reason to hate the man.

When forensic evidence reveals the crash was no accident and someone breaks into Willie’s farmhouse, curiosity turns serious fast.
