Ivy is a single woman who retired early to travel the globe. In her first year, she went to India, China, Italy, Greece, Croatia, and Turkey. Then COVID-19 hit, and everyone stayed home. When COVID-19 finally passed, people had grown accustomed to staying home, so travel buddies became increasingly scarce.
Undeterred, Ivy investigated solo travel, but most options were cost-prohibitive or involved countries that would be difficult to navigate without knowledge of the local culture or language. All this research led to what seemed like the perfect fit: traveling the US and Canada in a camper van!
And boy did she ever go - her first adventure lasted seven months and she LOVED it. To continue in this newly discovered and much-loved lifestyle, she decided she needed to find work that would pay decent money, allow her to work remotely, and most importantly, be FUN!
Ivy has always been a BIG reader and loved murder mysteries and was often heard saying, ‘I could write this stuff!’ So, lo and behold, her 1st Novella was born - Death in the Ditch.
This first story introduces her protagonist, Willie Wilder, an independent woman who is a stress-induced poet, a pet psychic deep in denial, and an even more reluctant amateur sleuth. After she inherits an old farmhouse, complete with Axel, a Standard Poodle, she loads up her old VW van and travels from Jupiter, Florida, to Grandview, North Dakota, to start a new chapter in her life.
I hope you enjoy her adventures as she works her way out of her old life and into her new one.
